Daniel Chapman

Daniel is the Regional Certification Manager of Buildcert, leading the largest team of private certifiers in New South Wales. 

​

Passionate about community connections and giving back, Daniel previously spent 8 years teaching at-risk and disadvantaged youth in a local not-for-profit high school. 

Daniel's positive attitude and innate ability to inspire, motivate and problem solve will ensure the continued success of Buildcare.

Jason Apps

Jason is passionate about the construction industry and completed a carpentry apprenticeship in Newcastle. 

​

In 2016, after suffering a catastrophic snowboarding accident in Canada, Jason was declared a C4 quadriplegic. 

​

Jason is currently training to become a certifier and has redirected his passion to help researchers improve the lives of those who have suffered a spinal cord injury.

Kaine Tarlinton

As the Managing Director of Buildcert and a lifelong career in the construction industry, Kaine is highly regarded with strong relationships and a reputation for quality, efficiency and innovation within his field.

Fully engaged with the needs of modern business, Kaine brings a wealth of experience and impeccable management skills to the team, driving change and working towards the bigger picture for Buildcare's success.

Ann Apps

Ann is a Honorary Lecturer at Newcastle Law School and is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

With first hand knowledge of the impact a spinal cord injury has on a family, Ann also brings her abundant experience in property law to the team to provide valuable input to our projects and contributions.

Ebony Kozis

With a longstanding commitment to community, and a passion for helping others, Ebony has a personal connection with the needs of people living with disabilities after her mother suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Dedicated, professional and compassionate, Ebony is an Operations Manager with a background in event management, project management and administration within the construction industry.

Kara Fraser

With a career spanning across Business and Commercial Management in the mining and construction industry, Kara offers experience across a broad range of business, with a particular interest in communications and marketing.

Also founding a boutique Interior Design firm, Kara is passionate about design and the ongoing positive effect living spaces can bring to an individual.

Meegan Kelly

Holding over two decades of executive, design and certification roles within the construction industry, Meegan possesses a high level of skill across all areas of development and compliance.

Personally driven to support the needs of the community through outreach and support, Meegan has actively held roles and fundraised with various charitable organisations including Camp Quality prior to joining the board of Buildcare.

Will Apps

In testament to his personality, Will had no hesitation taking on the role as full-time carer to Jason following his accident. Involved in every aspect of the day-to-day challenges and outlook coming from a spinal cord injury of a loved one, Will has dedicated his life to actively seeking a brighter future for Jason and the greater community living with spinal cord injury.

Highly educated and personally motivated, Will is poised to push for serious change through his involvement with Buildcare.

Ambassador

Aidan Guerra

After forging a successful career on the rugby field, Aidan hasn't missed a beat since stepping back from the game. Currently employed as a Business Development Manager, we are thrilled to have Aidan on board as our very first ambassador spreading the word and works of Buildcare.

With exceptional interpersonal skills and a knack for public speaking, Aidan is exceptional at networking and connecting people and community.
