Gold Coast Marathon 2024
Here we go again - the flat and fast GCM is back for 2024!
With the event selling out in record time this year, Buildcare is proud to see another large group of individuals pushing themselves in both the half and full marathon events this year.
After great success last year, we can not wait to see what our team can achieve in 2024.

Buildcare Charity Lunch 2024
Join us for an afternoon full of excitement as we wine and dine you at the iconic Merewether Surfhouse, in a room packed full of legendary guests and speakers, including Mark Mathews, Steven Philp, Julian Wilson, Danny Buderus, Aidan Guerra and Jackson Baker.
Enjoy a 3-course meal, with a variety of raffles and auctions on site as we update you on the progress of Project One.
Buildcare Breathe and Freeze 2023
Back again due to popular demand, our ice bath challenge is hitting the shores of Merewether Beach NSW on October 28!
Come alone or form a team, and take part in the most incredible day filled with sun, sand, and ICE 🥶
What better way to learn more about the day to day challenges facing people living with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) than pushing yourself to sit still (and hopefully smile!) in a big pool of ice?
Did you know that the majority of people with SCI do not have the ability to regulate temperature? Leaving them feeling uncomfortably cold in even the most regulated temperatures?
Can you make a difference? Spread the word, register today, and raise some funds with us. Every dollar goes towards our first development of accessible housing in Mayfield NSW, breaking ground very soon!

Gold Coast
Marathon 2023
Buildcare, is set to participate in the upcoming Gold Coast Marathon in Queensland, Australia event on July 1-2, 2023. Buildcare are officially registered as a charity for the run this year, so if you have ever wanted to challenge yourself AND raise some money for a cause - this is your sign!
The Gold Coast Marathon is a world-class international event that attracts participants from around the world, featuring eight races including the Gold Coast Marathon, CPL Wheelchair Marathon, ASICS Half Marathon, Southern Cross University 10km Run, CPL Wheelchair 10km, Gold Coast Airport 5km Fun Run, Health and Wellbeing Queensland 4km Junior Dash and Health and Wellbeing Queensland 2km Junior Dash.
The Gold Coast Marathon is renowned for its flat, fast, and scenic course along the city’s surf beaches and stunning broadwater. The event also features ideal winter running conditions, with low humidity, little wind, and mild temperatures. Over 60% of participants achieve personal best times each year.

Buildcare X AME Management
Through the incredible generosity from the teams behind AME Management and FOX Australian Supercross Championship, Buildcare were pleased to have received a Yamaha YZ250 to raffle off to a very lucky winner.
All funds raised through the event went directly to Buildcare, and are being used to create a better future for individuals faced with spinal cord injuries.

Buildcare Breathe and Freeze 2022
Fuelled by the personal journey of one of our Directors, Jason, a young, C4 quadriplegic, Buildcare partnered with local breathwork expert Gene Kelly to create our first annual event – Buildcare Breathe and Freeze. Aimed to expose just a minute portion of the physical discomfort that people with injuries like Jason face every day, this event saw breathwork instruction being given over the weeks leading up to the event, with Saturday, November 5, having teams of 21 people at a time immersing themselves in ice baths on the beach to raise money and awareness for the cause.
